Here’s Ollie

Ollie
Ollie – Experiencing Spring

Those boy kittens are so enthusiatic with the coming of Spring…although it is still really Winter. Stan and Ollie met on the fence….but Stan didn’t stay long enough for me to capture them both in this photo. I love the camelia tree in front of Ollie as he is hiding out in the branches of the forgotten name of the tree that grows everyone in my yard…it produces lovely bright red/orange flowers. I know the name will come to me soon.

It’s raining!

It’s raining again…we had several almost summer like days this past week. But the rain is back! I am looking out the window onto the deck watching the rain bounce off the picnic table. Stan had to go out…but that only lasted for a few minutes as the rain got heavier…and then I hear his scratching at the door. He meant business…he wanted in and wanted in now. His brother Ollie didn’t venture out on that same journey. They are both inside now and fancy this….just laying around!

Lucy had lots of exercise this weekend. We were at Pt Isabel yesterday morning before Knitting Workshop. Even though we had a date with our knitting friends and dogs to go to Pt Isabel later in the morning today, Lucy and I still went at our usual time. I was afraid that it would be raining later and we would cancel our date. Well, it was drizzingly and we didn’t cancel. The dogs – Lucy, Rufus, Taffy and Rockie – had the best time romping in the rain and puddles. And while I wasn’t romping, you should have seen my clogs! Much mud! Kimberly had girlie pink boots to protect her and Sheri had major hiking boots!

Lucy has had a restful afternoon. Yeah! I think I should have joined her for a nap. Feel like I’m fading!

The walk started with fog

Lucy and I headed for Pt Isabel about an hour later this morning. The sun was up and bright in my neighbor. We leave home and trun onto Fairmount Ave which looks directly into the Bay …a mile or so away. It looked gray…and then we were in the fog. Pt Isabel was engulfed in that fog. But it lifted soon enough…and we spent an hour this morning….the girl pup played with one of her best dog friends – Izzy.

Here’s the morning!

We took a walk!

I was lagging a bit on Sunday morning….so Lucy and I set out for a walk in the neighborhood rather than driving to Pt Isabel. Lucy was ready to go….and so Ollie. I heard this “thunder” of cat feet and there he was once again running ahead of us and stopping to let us catch up. It’s pretty comical. Here’s another slide show as well as the photos in still presentation. Tell me which presentation you prefer.

After the rain

Lucy and her pals, Angus and Colby, had way too much fun at Pt Isabel this past Saturday. They rain through the water, they did figure 8’s, and Angus the Corgie, even jumped right into the middle of a giant puddle and he was half-way emerge. It was a joy to see their dog energy at it’s best!

Here’s one photo…be sure to click through and see the slide show.

Well…these photos were going to be posted a week ago…so here they are now. Lucy had such a great time returning to Pt Isabel. She entered the park with enthusiam…and yet she was reserved. She “skipped”, she smelled the grass, and after about 10 minutes she was off and running at full speed. And then she met her dog friend, Izzy.

Izzy loves the rocks…the water beats against thos rocks..and Izzy is looking for something. Lucy likes to stay above to monitor what’s going on with Izzy.

Here they are! Be sure to click through this photo to the “Lucy and Izzy” slide show.
